SILIGURI: St. Mother Teresa Church, Saraswatipur, a sub-centre of Siliguri parish solemnly celebrated the feast of St. John Bosco, on 31 December 2018, with 500 parishioners joining for the Holy Eucharist where Fr Jai Mashi Ekka, the Vice Rector of Novitiate was the main celebrant and Frs. Manoj Jose, Sudhir Mondal and U. P. Sebastian were concelebrants.

Fr Sebastian in his sermon encouraged the faithful to know God and to believe in him. “Because of Don Bosco we are here today, without him we couldn’t have imagined this celebration. Be cheerful and believe in God the Creator, who has created us,” he said.
After the Eucharistic celebration the colourful cultural programme enthralled the parishioners where a variety of items were showcased by the young people.
Fr Manoj, the care taker of the village Christian community appreciated the cooperation of the people and advised them to live a life worthy of Catholics, obeying the teachings of the church.
